2004 Pinot Noir
"Like most good pinots, Mike Weir Pinot Noir is medium bodied and delicate… it’s expertly made, showing classic pinot flavours of red berries and beet root and a hint of earth, carried on a silky frame with a subtle slightly tannic backbone. Close your eyes and you can almost imagine you’re drinking a decent red Burgundy." - Beppi Crosariol, Globe and Mail April 4, 2006

Score: 90/100 Gordon Stimmell, Toronto Star, March 22, 2005

2005 Pinot Noir
"The Canadian golfer’s series of wines made by Creekside Estate Winery in Ontario are consistently delicious. This sports nice beetroot, wild strawberry and candied black cherry." - Score: 90/100, Gordon Stimmell, Toronto Star. March17, 2007

"Last year, wine lovers and golf fanatics alike were duly impressed with the debut wines of Canadian golf superstar Mike Weir. Now in its second vintage, this Pinot Noir from Weir and his winemaking partners at Creekside Estates is poised to build on the buzz of the first round. My note: I love the sour cherry aromas and the complexity of this medium-bodied wine. It has spectacular potential to improve with successive vintages given the care that's been taken in its making this year." - 90/100 -- Natalie MacLean, Nat Decants March 2007
2002 Cabernet Merlot

Gold Medal - Best Meritage, Cuvee 2006

Bronze Medal - 2005 Canadian Wine Awards 2006

"As the new winery takes shape near St. David’s Mike Weir wines are currently made at Creekside, a sister winery. The ripe 02 vintage has packed in dense black currant fruit, with complex vanilla, coffee from good wood and an interesting note of lichen-like earthiness. Medium weight, with some elegance and restrained with sweet fruit and lots of oak. Soft tannin, with a cool, fruit finish. Very good to excellent length." - David Lawrason, Wine Access Magazine, Summer, 2005

2004 Cabernet Merlot
"Youngand bright, showing floral qualities, red berry and strawberry fruit, medium bodied and nicely balanced." - Dan Kislenko, Hamilton Spectator, April 1 2006

"From Canada’s egregious golfer, the 2004 Cabernet Merlot delivers elegant minty black cherry flavours with a whiff of cigar box from the oak." - Score: 90/100 Gordon Stimmell, Toronto Star, March22, 2005

"This wine scores a hole in one with its aromas of blackberries, black cherry, pepper, vanilla, toast and hints of sweet herbs. Dry and medium-full bodied, it’s round fruit flavours are nicely balanced by the soft tannins. Enjoy with barbecued ribs or beef kebabs." - Vintages panel, Feb. 2005

"A nose of blackberries, cassis, black cherry and tobacco leaf is followed up on the palate by vanilla, blackberry and black cherry in the mouth and a smooth cedary-oaky finish. Another hole-in-one that’s well on par with his previous efforts." - Michael Pinkus, Ontario Wine Review, November 2007
